much more! In winter, Snowmobiling, climbing, cross-country
skiing and ice-fishing are available just outside our
door, and superb alpine skiing and snowboarding are
available at nearby Burke Mountain and Jay Peak Resorts.

Vermont's Northeast Kingdom is comprised of 1,313,710 acres of land and is 2,053
square miles in total - with more dirt roads than paved! Limitless opportunities
for exploration by automobile or motorcycle exist. Traveling from small village
to small village, you will truly get a sense of the region's rural character.
General stores owned by the same families for generations, antique and craft
stores and exquisite views add to the experience. Our staff will be happy to
pull out the road map and outline some Favorite "loops" for you to
enjoy during your stay!
Innsider's Tip: The toll road on Burke Mountain offers superb views of the mountain
landscape in Summer and Fall. Be prepared to pay a small toll during peak Vermont
fall foliage season.
