If road or mountain biking are your sports, you will be awed by the extensive terrain available for exploration in this pristine corner of Vermont. From peaceful back roads to acclaimed mountain bike trails to exhilarating paved roads - you will enjoy the finest cycling Vermont has to offer!

Mountain Biking - the Kingdom is a veritable playground! The Kingdom Trails Association, spearheaded by the folks at East Burke Sports, maintains a 100-mile trail network (Vermont's largest recreation trail system) for mountain biking, trail running, hiking, walking, nature study, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing and more! This extensive well-kept secret begs to be explored. User passes, trail route information and more are available at East Burke Sports or at the Village Sport Shop (Lyndonville). Visit KingdomTrails.org for further information. The Craftsbury Outdoor Center also offers bike rentals and on-site and off-site bike tours.

Innsider's Tip: In addition, miles and miles of dirt roads amble through the Lake Willoughby area for casual, scenic rides. Please inquire for local route suggestions and further information while visiting the Inn.

Road Biking - the Northeast Kingdom is a vast wilderness area with relatively uncrowded roads - a perfect equation for superb road biking! Popular routes - including loops around beautiful Lake Willoughby - provide exhilaration and a feast for the eyes.

Favorite tours include Classic Craftsbury, Magnificent Maples, Mostly Moose and Glacial Lakes. Bicycle Rentals:
The Inn offers two bicycles for guest's use (first come, first served basis). Other options include East Burke Sports, East Burke (802-626-3215) and the Village Sports Shop in Lyndonville (802-626-8448).
